Café Michelle began with a single dream and determination. In 2018, with the prospect of losing employment Chef Michelle realized that it was now or never to push forward with her dream of opening her own business. That realization was the “seed” that started the journey to open Café Michelle. It was not easy – working at times three jobs to make up for losing her main job Chef Michelle doggedly pursued avenues to gain the much needed financial capital to open Café Michelle. While her concept was highly praised, the financial capital doors were not open to start up with very little starting capital. So, cashing in her 401K Chef Michelle decided to take a chance to open the café on a shoe string budget. Once she stepped out, felt the fear and still moved forward – doors began to open.
